Amazon Fallout Series 2024: A Peek into Post-Apocalyptic Adventure
The war stays the same, and so does the Fallout vibe. Amazon just dropped a sneak peek at its live-action Amazon Fallout Series, and it kicks off much like the games: a vault dweller, Lucy (played by Ella Purnell from Yellowjackets), ventures out from the safety of her home to explore the perilous postapocalyptic wasteland. It’s a dangerous journey.
In the brief trailer, Lucy encounters iconic moments from the series—mutated animals, makeshift cities, the formidable Brotherhood of Steel, vault uprisings, Wild West shootouts, and a trusty dog with a deadly side. Classic tunes, including Nat King Cole’s “I Don’t Want to See Tomorrow,” add to the atmosphere. The show unfolds 200 years after the apocalypse, concluding with the world-changing nuclear explosion.
The cast features Walton Goggins as a ghoul, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and familiar faces like Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and Zach Cherry (Severance). Character posters hint at the dog’s significant role.
Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy from Westworld, along with Bethesda’s Todd Howard, bring their talents to the series. Fallout was announced in 2020, with Amazon ramping up teasers last year. The show hits Prime Video on April 12th, marking a significant addition to the Fallout saga since Fallout 76 in 2018 (or Fallout 4 in 2015 for solo players). Meanwhile, Bethesda explores other universes, including the sci-fi adventure Starfield.
