Grey’s Anatomy Spinoff Station 19 Bids Farewell After Seven Seasons

After running for seven seasons, the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, Station 19, is saying goodbye.

ABC has announced that the upcoming seventh season will be the series finale, a decision made early to give the producers time to create a proper ending.

Expressing her feelings about the spinoff, creator Shonda Rhimes wrote a heartfelt message. On Instagram, she said, “Thankful for a memorable run. A big shout-out to the amazing cast who brought the characters to life and to the viewers who made it all possible!”

Closing her note, Rhimes added, “Thanks for the magic, the moments, and the memories.”

Disney’s Chief Disney Television Group President, Craig Erwich, released a statement, saying, “For seven seasons, Station 19 has been a standout in the ABC lineup, thanks to Shonda and Betsy’s fantastic vision, beloved characters, and captivating storytelling.”

He went on to say, “With Zoanne and Peter leading the upcoming farewell season, there’s a lot to look forward to, especially the celebration of the show’s 100th episode.” Meanwhile, Station 19 is expected to air on March 14th.
