Jaya Bachchan Gets Angry at The Archies Premiere
Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t help but respond when his wife, the experienced actress Jaya Bachchan, scolded the paparazzi. The star of “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani” joined the Bachchan family at the Archies premiere. Jaya Bachchan was there to support her granddaughter, Agastya Nanda, who is making her debut in Zoya Akhtar’s film. The red carpet event saw Amitabh, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, and Navya Naveli Nanda, among others.
In a video shared on Instagram, which is now going viral, Jaya Bachchan expressed her frustration when the paparazzi called out the names of Bachchan family members to grab their attention. “Chillao mat (don’t shout),” she exclaimed as the family gathered for a photo. Amitabh responded to her scolding by asking the paparazzi, “Sunn liya?”
In another video, Jaya Bachchan was seen posing with Tina Ambani when she lost her cool once again. As they called out her name for attention, Jaya rebuked them for screaming. You can watch the video below.
This public gathering marked a long-awaited reunion for the Bachchan family. Everyone, except Jaya, opted for black outfits as they cheered for Agastya. A video captured Aishwarya teasing Agastya, advising him to get accustomed to the paparazzi attention and cameras.
“The Archies,” directed by Zoya Akhtar, features Agastya, who was the last actor to be cast in the film. Zoya revealed in an interview with The Quint, “Agastya Nanda was cast last, and he thought it was a prank.”
