Jonathan Majors Case News Update as on December 13: Watch Surveillance footage of Jonathan Majors incident

Jonathan Majors Case News Update

New information in Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence case, previously only seen by the jury, is now available to the public.

On Wednesday, Judge Michael Gaffey allowed more details to be shared in the case involving a reported violent incident between Majors, 34, and his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in the backseat of a car.

Reports from Rolling Stone, Variety, TMZ, People, and The Hollywood Reporter state that the recently revealed evidence includes text messages exchanged between the two, voice recordings of Majors criticizing Jabbari, photos of Jabbari’s injuries, a recording of Majors’ 911 call, and surveillance footage of Majors guiding Jabbari back into a car.

Jabbari and Majors met in 2021 while filming “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” in London, but they broke up on the night of the alleged assault this spring.

The trial of the “Creed III” star is in its second week, with both prosecutors and defense counsel presenting evidence.

In March, Majors was arrested following a dispute with Jabbari, a British dancer and movement coach, during a car ride in Manhattan.

Prosecutors claim that she grabbed Majors’ phone after seeing a text message, presumably from another woman, that said, “Wish I was kissing you right now.” Majors tried to retrieve the phone, as per Jabbari’s testimony.

Jabbari alleges that Majors pulled her finger, twisted her arm, and struck her head. Photos of her injuries, shared by Variety, reveal a bruised finger and a gash behind her ear.

After the car stopped and they both exited, Majors supposedly threw Jabbari back into the vehicle, according to Variety. Prosecutors argue that video footage shows Majors forcefully pushing her back into the car repeatedly.

A TMZ video displayed Majors picking up Jabbari after she left the backseat and placing her back in the car. They then engaged in a brief scuffle on the sidewalk, with Jabbari pursuing Majors afterward.

Majors’ legal team contends that Jabbari was the aggressor. The hired driver, Naveed Sarwar, testified that Majors was not involved, while Jabbari was the one causing trouble, as reported by People and Variety.

According to Sarwar, Majors repeatedly told Jabbari to “leave me alone; I have to go.”

In a recording from September 2022, Jabbari and Majors are talking. In the conversation, Majors criticizes Jabbari for coming home drunk and not supporting him enough, as per a transcript shared by Variety.

“Grace (Jabbari) needs to be in a certain mindset to support — Coretta Scott King, do you know who that is? That’s Martin Luther King’s wife. Michelle Obama, Barack Obama’s wife,” Majors says. “I’m a great man. A great man. I am doing great things, not just for me but for my culture and for the world. That is actually the position I’m in.”

“I shouldn’t have gone out. I’m sorry,” Jabbari responds.

He later adds, “The woman that supports me — that I support — needs to be a great woman and make sacrifices the way that man is making for her and for them ultimately. Last night, two nights ago, you did not do that.”

Jabbari testified on Dec. 5 during Majors’ trial, describing him as a controlling and manipulative partner. She mentioned he threw household objects at the wall, tried to control her socially, and repeatedly threatened to take his own life after their fights.

“It felt like I was walking around on eggshells,” Jabbari said. “I had to be perfect.”

During her testimony, Majors avoided looking at Jabbari, instead jotting down notes for his lawyer or flipping through his gold-leafed Bible as she talked about his struggle to control his “violent temper.”

On her second day on the witness stand, Jabbari wiped away tears as she recounted the alleged attack by Majors in the backseat of a cab that left her hair caked with blood, her ear swollen, and her middle finger “more or less black.”

“When I was trying to sleep, I was very aware that I couldn’t lie on the right side of my head,” she said. “It was an everything hurts situation.”
