Las Vegas Court Issues Warrant for Rapper Blueface, Alleging Probation Violation

Las Vegas court issues warrant for rapper Blueface, alleging probation violation

Las Vegas rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, is in trouble with the law again. A judge in Las Vegas issued a bench warrant for him because he didn’t follow the rules of his probation.

He got probation on October 2, 2023, for a shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club the year before. Now, he might have to go to prison for two to five years because he broke the probation rules.

The rules were clear. No alcohol or drugs, including marijuana. Stay away from the Las Vegas Strip and downtown unless you have a job or a good reason to be there. Get counseling for controlling your impulses. Don’t contact the person you hurt. Keep a full-time job, follow a curfew, report to parole and probation, and let them check your communication devices and social media apps.

Blueface is already in custody in Los Angeles County for breaking probation in a different case. He might be in jail until July 2, 2024.

His Las Vegas lawyer, Kristina Wildeveld, said the probation violation happened because of a video after a show in Salt Lake City. In the video, Blueface pulled a woman on stage and told his fiancée to attack her. The lawyer says Blueface will turn himself in and wants to move forward with his career.

When Blueface was sentenced in Las Vegas last October, the judge warned him about guns. The judge said if he got caught with guns or broke any probation rules, especially with weapons, he could go to prison for a long time.

The shooting in 2022 left one man injured outside a strip club on Windy Road near the Las Vegas Strip. The victim recognized Blueface, made a joke, and got shot in the hand. Blueface was initially charged with attempted murder, but a deal lowered it to battery and discharging a firearm. The judge ordered him to pay over $13 million to the club, which closed after the shooting.

Blueface also got arrested for robbery when he stole a fan’s phone at the Palms casino. They dropped the charge after he was sentenced for the shooting.
