During a performance, Ashanti made a heart shape with her hands on her stomach, as seen in a Twitter video.
Nelly, without hesitation, mirrored the gesture, gently rubbing Ashanti’s belly.
Realizing they might have spilled the beans, the rapper pulled Ashanti close, and they both burst into laughter.
When the emcee hinted at “sealing the deal,” Nelly playfully pointed at Ashanti’s belly, and they shared another round of laughter.
The couple first met in 2003 at a Grammys Awards press conference. Despite dating for a decade, they called it quits in 2013.
In April 2023, rumors of their reconciliation surfaced as they sat ringside at a Las Vegas boxing match.
After keeping their relationship under wraps for a few months, Nelly officially announced their reunion in September.
In an interview with “Love & Hip Hop” stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, he expressed surprise, stating it wasn’t a planned decision.
Nelly explained the importance of time apart, understanding each other better during the break.
He said, “Being separate helps you see exactly what the other person sees. We can be defensive in our relationships, knowing we’re wrong but standing our ground. It’s something we’re all victims of.”
Since getting back together, the couple has been thriving, showering each other with surprises.
In October, Nelly gifted Ashanti a large diamond necklace with heart accents and a diamond-crusted watch for her birthday.
The next month, Ashanti surprised Nelly with his dream car.
After the rapper shared a video of the blue car, a follower suggested starting a family with Ashanti, to which he playfully responded, “I’m on it.”
