Caribbean sensation Ricardo Drue, famous for his hits like “Vagabond” and “Toxic,” has sadly passed away. Multiple sources, including Antigua & Barbuda’s ABS Radio/TV, have confirmed this unfortunate news that Ricardo Drue Passed Away.

The Soca community is in disbelief as Drue, born in Antigua, was only 38 and enjoying the peak of his career. Recently, he even proposed to fellow Soca superstar Patrice Roberts.

ABS reported that Mr. Drue was found unresponsive and was declared dead at the Lester Bird Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

One of his latest and most notable songs, “Tornado,” was produced by the respected Virgin Islander Iaryn Williams, also known as Swanks.

Drue was a prominent figure in his home country, securing victories in Soca Monarch and Road March competitions. His most recent Road March triumph was with “Last Man Standing” earlier this year. The loss is deeply felt in the Soca world.
