Vin Diesel News: A Former Assistant Filed Sexual Battery Lawsuit Against Vin Diesel
A lawsuit was filed against actor Vin Diesel on Thursday by his ex-assistant, claiming he sexually assaulted her in 2010 and fired her shortly after.
In the legal document submitted in a Los Angeles court, Asta Jonasson, the former assistant, asserts that Diesel attacked her in an Atlanta hotel room during the filming of “Fast Five.”
Representatives for Diesel, handling legal and public relations matters, have not responded to inquiries.
Jonasson’s lawyer, Claire-Lise Kutlay, expressed, “If powerful men aren’t held accountable, workplace harassment won’t end. We hope Asta’s bravery sparks change and supports other survivors.”

According to the lawsuit, Diesel allegedly inappropriately touched and kissed Jonasson after entertaining multiple women in his hotel suite.
“Vin Diesel disregarded Ms. Jonasson’s clear refusal of his advances,” states the lawsuit.
The legal document claims Diesel compelled Jonasson to touch him, ignoring her protests, and later cornered her against a wall, only releasing her after he finished masturbating. He then exited the hotel room.
Shortly afterward, Jonasson alleges she was dismissed from her position as Diesel’s assistant.
The lawsuit explains that Jonasson remained silent for years due to fear, afraid of speaking out against one of the industry’s highest-earning actors and being ostracized.
Jonasson is among several women accusing notable figures in the entertainment industry of sexual misconduct since the #MeToo movement gained momentum in 2017, following accusations against now-imprisoned producer Harvey Weinstein.
