The second episode is titled ‘Ruritania,’ and it zooms in on Queen Elizabeth II’s reaction to the sad event. The episode description says, “Wanting to boost the monarchy’s public image, the queen consults the smart statesman Tony Blair. However, the Prime Minister’s advice goes against royal rules.”

Towards the end of the episode, a tribute card appears, saying, “In memoriam, Shay Leonard, 1970–2023.”

Shay Leonard, an art director and TV and film producer, contributed to various projects, from Sherlock Holmes to Vampire Academy and Hot Fuzz. He also worked in the props department for Netflix shows like Anatomy of A Scandal and, of course, The Crown.

Shay Leonard was born in 1970 in Dublin. Shay was part of the Crown team from 2017 to 2020. Sadly, he passed away in June of this year at the age of 54. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.
